(Updated) Post unpublished for 'infringing community guidelines'

UPDATE: As expected, the post in question has now been restored following a review. It should never have been taken down in the first place, and I'm VERY unhappy with the obviously deceitful claim that it was taken down after the contents were 'examined' after it was 'flagged for review'. Had it actually been examined, it would not have been removed in the first place. Anyway, back to normal - for now...

ORIGINAL POST: Just received an email from Blogger informing me that the post for June 1947, published on 29 Sep 2022, headlined 'The Big Heart' (UK title of MIRACLE ON 34th STREET), has been unpublished after being 'flagged for review'. Apparently, someone from Blogger searched its contents and decided there was something within the entry that violated the guidelines, so they've unpublished it. I've been invited to 'update the content' in order to rectify the situation, at which point it will be determined if the entry can be republished.

I have literally scoured every word of that blog entry and can see ABSOLUTELY NOTHING which violates any of the terms of the relevant guidelines. It's nothing more than a list of film titles from all the entries published in the Board of Trade register for that particular month. There's no strong language (not even 'damn'), no references to anything even remotely untoward. There isn't even an accompanying illustration for that particular entry, and even if there was, this is 1947 - hardly a hotbed of pornographic content!! It's clear that no one searched its contents at all, email assertions to the contrary, and that the entry was unpublished for no legitimate reason.

I have resubmitted the entry EXACTLY AS ORIGINALLY PUBLISHED, thereby triggering the aforementioned review. I am at a complete loss to understand what has happened here. Every post has a link to the section entitled How to Use the Index, which includes the following disclaimer: "Be aware that some titles reflect the times in which they were produced, and contain words and phrases that may cause offence. They are reproduced here verbatim, for the historical record." That doesn't apply here, since no such offending words or phrases are included in this particular entry.

We'll see how the situation is resolved. Someone has clearly dropped a massive ball, but at my - and your - expense. The entry WILL be reinstated, complete and unabridged. If not, then it's clear Blogger is not the place for any such index, because this kind of random glitch cannot be allowed to interfere with material that is clearly, demonstrably reasonable and appropriate.

I'll keep you posted.
